A Wedding in the Netherlands!

Ave. What an amazing thing! A wedding between two of my best friends, Reverend Xarian, and his new wife Magistra June. When they asked me to attend their wedding in the Netherlands, I was very honoured! Here is my story of the trip to never never land!

Well, it started off with a wave goodbye to my family, and a long walk down a hallway with a electric sidewalk(cool!) I think they make the walk that long just to scare the hell out of you!(LOL) Anyways, it was a 20 minute wait to get onto the plane. Luckily my seats were picked first to get on the plane, so there was no crowding whatsoever. And everyone seemed rather nice!

All of my life I have had a small fear of flying. I always told everyone, I would rather die by being hit by a car, than falling out of a plane. So I was waiting, and waiting and waiting, for the plane to get going. Finally the captain fired her up. I was a little nervous, but not too bad! So when we did a bunch of turns to get to the main runway, I hear the captain over the speaker phone "we have clearance to take off" Well, I put my seat-belt on so tight, i couldnt breath! But it was a trip!

All of a sudden, we were going faster than any car I have been in, or faster than I have driven before, and I have gotten up to around 160 km/hr! It shook a little bit, but for some reason, I was not scared! And I did not get sick! It was an amazing experience, and can't wait to do it again! about an hour or so later we arrived in Halifax to do a pick up, so I experienced a landing! We came in so gently I thought we had landed! But nope, we didnt yet and I did not know it! Geez, the plane starting bouncing all over the place, and the guy accross from me said " now we have landed " I did not know what to say, so I laughed! And all was cool!

So after I landed and went through customs, who might I add was very polite, and willing to let my into holland, I spent about 30 minutes trying to find my luggage. After I freaked out, thinking someone had stolen it, I found it, and proceeded to the exit doors. As I walked through, I saw tons of people waiting for their friends and family to come out, but I did not even know what Xarian looked like. I walked out, trying not to look like a foriegner, I got scared cause no one approached me, that is until a lady grabbed me, smiled and said "are you Rob" in a very distinguishing accent, I was relieved to say YES! It was Xarians mother.

The strange thing was, when I walked thrugh the crowd, I saw this guy, sitting on a stool, with his legs up on top of a stool, sitting beside another guy, He was staring at me, but was hiding behind the smoke in his hand ( I assume to hide the ~evil grin~) For some reason I thought I knew him, but sure as shit, it turned out to be Xarian! So anyways, after Xarians Mother, was greeting June ran up and gave me a hug right away. I asked where Xarian is, and his mom pointed over there, and there he was, laughing his ass off at me! And the other guy there was Marten, and I didn't even knw that either!

As we left Amsterdam and proceeded down the highway to delft, I saw this HUG ass billboard and it had a picture of two naked women on it! One of them had her legs spread wide open! I was quite shocked as this is not allowed in our country. Sadly I missed it on the way back, and did not have my camera ready to take a photo of it!

We first went to Xarians Parents place, where I met his Oma and Opa, his Aunt and Uncle and his father. We had lunch there first. It was sooooo good! As I am a huge fan of liverwurst, rest assured it was on the table! :-)
We drank lots of coffee and had a good time, and got to know each other. In the parking area of Xarians parents house, I saw a car so small, I had to laugh. As funny as it was, it was an exact car of the one that Mr. Bean drives.
